College rules and anti-ragging

The college has established systems and procedures for maintaining and using its physical, academic and sports facilities.

General rules of discipline

  1. The college gives utmost priority to discipline. Everyone is bound to follow these rules and regulations and maintain strict discipline.
  2. Students must always wear the valid identity card issued by the college, with a recent photograph affixed and bearing the Principal’s signature.
  3. Students are not permitted to use mobile phones during academic delivery.
  4. Listening to music from any device inside the college campus is prohibited.
  5. No student shall cause any disturbance to ongoing classes or to fellow students.
  6. Ragging, consuming alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited on the college campus.
  7. Prior written permission of the Principal must be obtained before organising any activity or function.
  8. Unauthorised writing on walls, pillars, bathrooms, furniture or blackboards is strictly prohibited.
  9. Eating snacks or taking lunch inside classrooms or along corridors is not permitted.
  10. The cost of any damage to college property will be charged to the students responsible, in addition to disciplinary action.
  11. Students are advised to switch off fans and lights when they leave the classrooms.
  12. Furniture in the classrooms should not be moved or displaced.
  13. Students should be in uniform at all times except two days of the week.
  14. No student shall collect money as a contribution for a picnic, trip, educational visit, get-together, study notes, charity or any other activity without the Principal’s prior written permission.
  15. Students must attend lectures, tutorials and practicals regularly; defaulters may face disciplinary action. A minimum of 75% attendance per term is necessary as per university regulation.
  16. In the event of continued poor performance in internal tests and poor class attendance, the Principal has the authority to withhold permission to write the university examinations.
  17. In case of violation of any of these rules, the Principal is empowered to fine, suspend or even expel a student in the interests of the college.
