Red Cross and Red Ribbon

The Red Cross and Red Ribbon units promote humanitarian service, health awareness and voluntary action. The Red Ribbon Club also spreads awareness of HIV/AIDS and encourages voluntary blood donation among young people.

Objectives

• Promote humanitarian values and voluntary service.
• Spread awareness of health, first aid and HIV/AIDS prevention.
• Encourage voluntary blood donation.
• Develop caring and responsible citizens.

Activities

• Blood donation drives.
• First-aid and health awareness programmes.
• HIV/AIDS awareness talks and rallies.
• Observance of World Red Cross Day and World AIDS Day.
