About us
M. Krishna Law College, Hassan was established by Malnad Technical Education Society (MTES) in 1974, with the aim of providing legal education and meeting the legal needs of the community.
The college is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, recognised by the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India, and accredited with a B+ grade by NAAC, Bangalore. Justice E.S. Venkataramaiah, then a judge of the High Court of Karnataka, inaugurated it in 1974-75.
Hassan is a district headquarters on NH-75, midway between Bangalore (180 km) and Mangalore (170 km). The district is home to the temples of Beluru, Halebedu and Sravanabelagola and the Master Control Facility for INSAT satellites. The college stands on a 1.32-acre campus with the facilities expected of a modern law college.
