M. KRISHNA LAW COLLEGE, HASSAN was established by Malnad Technical Education Society (MTES) in the year 1974 with aspirations to provide legal education and to meet the legal requirements of the community. This college is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and recognized by University Grants Commission as well as Bar Council of India and accredited with “B+” grade by NAAC, Bangalore.
The college is engaged in the activity of imparting legal education for over 46 years. Justice E.S. Venkataramaiah, the then judge of High Court of Karnataka, inaugurated the college in the year 1974-75. Located midway, (13◦N and 76-5◦E, altitude 943 mtrs) between Bangalore (180 Kms) and Mangalore (170Kms) on NH -75 Hassan a District Head Quarters, having a steady temperate climate throughout the year, enjoys an annual rainfall of about 900mm. World famous temples of Beluru, Halebedu and Sravanabelagola and the Master Control Facility for INSAT Satellites are located in Hassan District. The College is on built on 1.32 acres campus and has all the facilities expected in a modern Law college.
